As Invenergy approached its 20th anniversary, the company stood at a pivotal milestone: an agile startup transformed into a clean energy powerhouse. With global energy demand accelerating, Invenergy needed to refresh its brand expression and digital infrastructure to match its massive scale. We partnered with their in-house team to overhaul their enterprise website and modernize their visual identity, creating a cohesive digital experience that accurately reflects their position as a market leader and conveys their vision as a proven pathfinder in renewable energy.
DIGITAL EXPRESSION
We translated their strategic traits of stability, confidence, and drive into a refreshed digital expression that felt established, sophisticated and assured. The color palette was expanded to include a dark and light green to create a more monochromatic primary palette. A bright yellow was added as a counter point to the greens and serves as the action color throughout the website. Helvetica Neue is their primary typeface, we updated the typescale to include oversized headlines that feel confident and bold. The photography art direction showcases the scale and breadth of their projects. And we worked with an illustrator to create a custom illustration library to help with the storytelling of their people, services and community.
DIGITAL EXPERIENCE
Our team worked alongside UX, content strategy, copy and development teams to create an intuitive and user-friendly experience that convey their global portfolio, values and accomplishments.
Over the course of five, two-week sprints we created 16 page templates, global navigation and a comprehensive design system that included an interactive project map, corporate timeline, infographics and illustration library. We created a product design kit (PDK) to codify all of the foundational and global elements and capture the functionality and intent for each component of the system. The website was translated into four languages and built to be responsive and accessible on all devices.
